The History of Manchester Jewish Museum Friends
The Friends of Manchester Jewish Museum organisation was formed
soon after the inauguration of the Museum itself in 1985. The aim has
always been to support the museum both financially and practically and
to this end the committee organises events like Coffee Mornings and
Band Concerts. Over the years tens of thousands of pounds has been
raised to pay for new equipment and facilities in and around the
building.
The Friends has an elected committee and holds its AGM at the Museum each June. Over the years Friends have organised social outings and have been invited to previews of new temporary exhibitions
